About Pippa ~ 11mo Staffy X (On Trial 18/10/20)
Meet Pippa. She is about 11 month old female Staffy X who is full of puppy love and energy, even her cuddles are energetic at times! Once she chills out she will snuggle in on the couch for the evening. If permitted she loves to share your bed, she does understand though that she has a bed and that sometimes she has to sleep in it as not everyone wants bed time cuddles with such a bed hog.
Within the house and yard her training has progressed well. She sits and stays quite well and can now shake with both hands. Pippa will sit and stay so you can go out the front door. She is not quite as good at sitting when you come home. Learning to drop seems to be pretty tricky to, but she keeps trying. Shes a smart girl and with the perfect dog savvy home, she will progress quickly.
The real challenge for Pippa is learning to calm down when out on a lead. The world is more exciting than Pippa ever imagined and she is finding it very tricky to pay attention and follow instructions when out. Pippa will need a furever family that has the time and energy to walk her often and train her well. Families with stronger breed experience will be most favourable.
Pippa is still a puppy and has the puppy need to chew. She will need some good tough toys. She is getting better at fetch and learning to “let go” when she brings her toy to you. Pippa is quite well behaved when everyone is busy at work and school. She is happy to hang out outside with a good bone and safe place to chill. But when your home she will always want to be by your side, she has always slept inside.
She loves the car and is very well behaved in the car. With a dog door she is toilet trained. Due to Pippa’s energy level and need for ongoing training she would not suite a family with small children. High school aged children that were confident with big dogs would love her.
