Xena (D1435)

Xena is a typical 1 year old staffy cross. She wants to play all day, love and be loved. She is a high energy dog so would be great for an active family that want a running partner, or just a best friend they can hang out with all day (tradie’s dog). She passed basic obedience with flying colours and is an all round well trained dog, though being 1 she still gets distracted and runs off for a play every so often. Further training to enforce a bond and smooth rough edges would do wonders. Xena knows sit, stay, come, down and free (releasing her off leash) as well as sitting before eating. Xena will give you unconditional and limitless love. She’s a real softy, but not a dog you can simply leave alone to entertain herself all day. She needs to be part of the family so she feels included and walked daily for a decent time. Like any staffy, xena loves to chew, so big bones are your best friend and hers too. She can be a bit rough when excited, and weighing 30kg can be like a steam train, so not suited to a family with young children. Xena is great with older dogs and small puppies but seems to like to assert dominance over dogs her own age (in a non aggressive way). It’s probably best if she goes to a home with an older dog she can play with but knows her position with. In summary xena is a lovable dog, who wants to please, and love you, and be with you 24/7.
