About KC
Hey!
I know, I know the first thing you think of when you see me is oh boy I am a solid chunky monkey – I do weigh 45kgs but when I do look like someone washed me in cold water and my legs shrunk – my foster mum says I’m as wide as I am tall but get told it just adds to my cuteness.
(I am a Neapolitan Mastiff x) possibly American Staffy
A lot of people get nervous about my size and they think I look scary – my foster mum says I’m a big baby who loves cuddles and belly rubs (I can have belly rubs for hours). She also says I’m a bit of a talker when I’m getting my tummy rubs – I’m just letting her know how much I love it!
I am currently hanging out with some other big breed dogs and I am really good with them – but I did ask my foster mum to make sure she let people know that while I love to run around I am not built for long distance running or even durance – I’m a quick play and then a big rest type of guy.
I love to lay on my fur siblings – so I probably need another big dog that won’t mind that – I try and be mindful of my weight but you know when you want to rest you want to rest!
I do really real with my training but would love someone to continue with that. I am still learning to walk on a lead without dragging my foster mum behind me cause when I am know I am heading somewhere I am on a mission!
My foster mum say I am really good with manners and things but sometimes I have selective hearing but she then puts on her mum voice and I know that means I need to listen.
I love hanging out with my foster families kids – I am super gentle with them (I may accidentally squish them when lying on the couch with them but they reckon I am a big pup)
I am happy just chilling with my family or if they work waiting for them to come home from work but I really need to be a part of the family when they are home.
So if you’re looking for a big squishy teddy bear as a family member, someone who is built for short bursts and not marathons then please send in an application!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
