About Delilah
Hi there, my name is Delilah and I am looking for my new forever home as a companion horse.
I am an absolutely stunning girl with a side of sass! I am looking for an experienced home as I have never been broken in and had limited handling prior to arriving at the RSPCA. Whilst I absolutely loved people, I had no manners whatsoever and this is something I have been learning whilst living at the RSPCA. I am super smart so have picked up everything rather quickly, but I take my confidence and direction from confident, experienced handlers only.
I am now easy to rug, lead, brush, stand still for the farrier, medicate and understand I have to wait for my feed. Did I tell mention that I LOVE food?! I have lived well with sheep, goats, cows and other horses.
I arrived at the RSPCA extremely overweight and with overgrown, sore hooves. The staff made me adhere to a very strict diet and I've never felt better! As a result of the damage to my hooves, I may never be sound enough to be broken to saddle, but if someone is willing to trial corrective shoeing or boots I MAY be comfortable for trail riding down the track, but there is no guarantee. I would, however, be more than happy as a companion horse as I love having lots of friends around and being fussed over.
If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an expression of interest form and one of my human staff friends will get in contact with you.

I am not desexed.
