Nala

Nala is a beautiful, typical Elkhound - bold, playful, alert, independent, loving and very intelligent.

Nala needs lots and lots of exercise to keep her happy; she would make a great companion for someone who jogs, and would be an excellent candidate for dog agility training.

Her gorgeous coat needs daily grooming to keep it in top shape. While it provides great insulation from cold, and some protection from heat, Nala will need to be exercised in the cool part of the day during the warmer months.

Like all Elkhounds, Nala is quite vocal, often "talking" as part of her interaction with humans. Meeting her exercise needs will minimise the risk of her barking becoming a problem, as well as not leaving her alone for long periods. Nala is not suitable for a full-time worker, unless she has the company of another dog.

Ideally, her new home will be with someone who has had experience with Arctic breeds.

Nala has a truly lovely temperament and is ready to form a close bond with her new family.
