About Harley
I’m Harley and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great although I'm not overly playful so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love for myself
• I do get fixated on small dogs, in particular fluffy ones so I can't go to a home with that type of dog. I'm best suited to dogs around my size
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard for long periods of time
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy when excited
My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other dogs - see above for restrictions
• Very playful
• I can sit on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog. I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead – training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this. This is particularly when I become fixated on something (small dog or cat) and don't want to walk away from it
• I can be a bit mouthy when I get excited and playful – training needed to stop this
