About Peanut ~ Staffy X(On Trial 26/09/20)
Peanut is a beautiful 8 week old female Staffy x puppy. Peanut has a feisty, curious nature with lots of energy and loves chasing her sister and foster brothers around the house, exploring the back yard and chasing toys. Once she is tired, Peanut will curl up in your lap and sleep for hours.
Peanut would suit a variety of homes from a single person or couple seeking a new best friend to a family with confident kids over 8 years of age. Peanut needs a home committed to training and socialising her to become a well adjusted adult dog. In her perfect home Peanut would have another dog who is gentle and patient, to help teach her good manners.
Peanut has begun toilet training and learning to sit and is doing very well, and needs a family who will continue this. Peanut is also currently teething and loves to bite and chew things.
Peanut’s exact breed mix is unknown, but we expect her to grow to be a medium size dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Peanut would love if someone in the household is home most of the time.
Peanut needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. You will need good fencing with no small gaps that a puppy could escape through.
As Peanut is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as she will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old. Unfortunately this means that we will not allow interstate adoption.
Peanut’s sister Peach is also available for adoption.
To register your interest in adopting Peanut, you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt or for more information please contact Darcy on darcy.hazell@hotmail.com
Peanut’s adoption fee is $600 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. Peanut is in care in Maitland, NSW.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
