About Alfie ~ 2yr Old Jack Russel X (On Trial 26/09/20)
Meet Alfie, the small dog with a big lovable personality! Alfie is a 2 year old healthy Jack Russell X and is ready to find his forever home! Alfie’s tail never stops wagging. He is the happiest little boy especially when he has lots of human company. He is very affectionate and loves cuddles.
Alfie loves to play games especially fetch. In the evenings his favourite thing to do is cuddle up next to you and fall asleep. Alfie has shown his foster mum that he is well behaved at home and will happily spend lots of time with his favourite chew toy - especially if they are stuffed with treats!
He is eager to learn and has so far learnt how to “sit” and “come” and “stay”. He is toilet trained as long as he gets frequent toilet opportunities throughout the day. Alfie has shown his foster mum that he can be a little protective of his current home and will bark at people and dogs that pass by outside, although he is easily redirected with positive reinforcement and treats. Alfie has been living with one other older dog who he gets along with very well. However, he has had limited exposure to other dogs and we feel he would be better suited to a home where he is the only dog.
Alfie walks well on the lead but has shown reactivity to other dogs and will require patience and time to help him understand the best way to behave when on walks. He would be best suited to a home where he will have company more often than not. Alfie must be allowed to sleep inside. Due to his size, he is suitable only to a home with children over 12 years. Alfie has not been tested with cats.
If you would like to know more about this adorable boy please contact his foster mum Naomi ndmcilvenny@gmail.com. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt.
Alfie is located in Carrington NSW, and his adoption fee is $500 which includes desexing, micrchipping and vaccinations. He is up to date with all worming and flea treatments.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
