About Dizzy
Dizzy is a 13 month old male cattle dog cross, with possibly a bit of kelpie or koolie in him.
Dizzy is a fun, energetic and playful dog sure to give you lots of affection. His loves in life are sticks, walks, basking in the sun, playing in water and attention of course.
Diz loves a daily walk and is great on the lead, very calm and relaxed, doesn’t pull and has no issues with other dogs, if anything he can be a bit too playful for a more reserved dog.
Dizzy has predominantly been an outside dog so is not very well house trained but is showing improvements, recommended to keep him out of carpeted areas though. Behaviour wise he is great inside though and will be quite happy to settle in and watch TV with you on the couch of a night time. He sits well, and is getting the hang of the lie down, has a tendency to want to lick and jump when he gets excited but once again is improving all the time, just needs to continue with training.
Due to Dizzy’s age and also breed he gets bored easily and tends to use this time to be rather destructive. He will have a chew on anything, wood, hard plastic, clothes off the line, anything! We are hoping that he will grow out of this stage but be warned regardless.
As described earlier Diz is the sort of working breed that needs stimulation, for this reason a larger yard would be best and would probably love to have a fellow dog to keep him entertained, that said he has been alone in the past as well.
Due to Dizzy’s age and excitement levels it would be recommended that his new home did not have young kids.
