About Tibby - Located in Pascoe Vale
Tibby is an affectionate boy who is just learning to live with humans. He was rescued off the street only a week ago and needs a patient and gentle household who won’t mind that he’s still getting used to home life. He’s a friendly boy who is quickly warming up to human company. He enjoys lying on your chest and will happily purr away. He tolerates being picked up though it’s not his favourite thing in the world. He’s quite shy and will spend time hiding under a bed or a couch, until he decides he needs attention - then he’ll tell you about it. He can be talkative at night when you’re trying to sleep so he might need his own room/bathroom/laundry space for a little while. He has just been desexed and hopefully he will settle down over the next few weeks as his hormone levels reduce.
Tibby has quickly picked up how to use the kitty litter but he’s not the tidiest fellow. You will need an easy-to-clean space for his kitty litter, like a laundry or bathroom, as he tends to kick the litter around a little bit. Hopefully he will get better at this! He doesn’t bite or scratch, but he can hiss if he doesn’t feel like being picked up, or if you get too close while he’s eating.
Tibby needs a dental diet such as Hills or Royal Canin oral care to help with his dental hygiene. Apart from that he has a clean bill of health. Tibby will reward the right person with lots of love and affection.

- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers, and
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
IMPORTANT NOTE - COVID19 PRACTICES
Due to the current lockdown in Melbourne we once again need to do things a little differently!
Once you have applied for a cat in our care our fostercarer will contact you by telephone. If at the end of this discussion you would like to process we will then arrange an online meet n greet with the carer and cat.
If you think this cat might be your PURRFECT match we will be utilising our premises at Neko HQ in Preston for the final meet n greet and if agreed adoption as our carers are unable to have guest in their homes. We ask that only one person from the family attend, and that all COVID safe practices are followed to ensure your health and that of our volunteers as well as the general community.
We thank you for your patience throughout this process.
