About Wrinkles Crinkles
Wrinkles Crinkles is the name and being totally awesome is the game!
If you can't already tell from the photos I'm ridiculously good looking, even more so in real life.. hard to believe I know. I've been known to be quite the chatter box to strap in while I tell you about myself.
Firstly, all my friends call me Crinks so you can too! A few months ago I was down on my luck, I was at the pound and let me just say things weren't looking good. My amazing friends at the pound contacted Second Chance and told them about this awesome guy they had that needed to be rescued (that's me obviously), Second Chance took one look at my mug at said we are on our way!
I've been in foster care for a while hanging out with my dudes and let me tell you it's been so much fun (sometimes a bit too much fun) it's time for me to find some more permanent living arrangements. The best home for me would be one very similar to where I already live. I love all the peoples, so for me COVID is great. My new family will need to be around most of the time in the early days to help me feel relaxed and comfortable in my new digs.
Little children are a bit strange to me, I can't quite figure them out. So for me a home with Adults is best, keep in mind I've been described as a toddler so even tho I need a home without kids my humans will need to be prepared to share their lives with a giant baby (me)!
Dogs and other animals just aren't my jam, I prefer to just do my own thing without being bothered by them or having to share my toys and beds with them. I LOVE going for walks, I loose my mind when I think we are going for a walk.. I'm not proud of myself I just can't keep it together.
I've been told I've got a bit of a "bung leg", it's not bothering me much at the moment but my friends at Second Chance can tell you more about it.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
Medical notes
Wrinkles Crinkles has had an intermittent altered gait in his hindlegs since coming into our care. He will occasionally do a "bunny hopping" gait in his hindlegs, or pick up his left hind leg for a step or two. He has had xrays that show some arthritis in his spine and knees.
We recommend that Wrinkles is on a neutraceutical supplement such as 4cyte
to help maintain good joint health.
Regular exercise is important, however do not exercise Wrinkles to the point where he is pulling up sore afterwards.
Maintaining a trim body condition will also prevent excess strain on his joints.
If Wrinkles is becoming more lame, he should be examined by your regular veterinarian. They may recommend further treatment or testing.
One possible complication of knee arthritis can be cruciate damage. Our testing so far has not indicated this is present at this point in time.
