About Chippy
Chippy is a three year old, energetic border collie x staffy with so much love to give!
Chippy was surrendered to us as his owners were no longer able to look after him. He is an incredibly happy dog who is constantly wagging his tail (and body!) and loves nothing more than getting a pat and a cuddle! Chippy has been house trained, and lead-and-harness trained. He appreciates a good long exercise walk, but also needs to have slower sniff walks at his pace as he has a keen nose and loves checking his doggy mail. He will need a home where his training can continue, as Chippy can get a little anxious when left alone, and this can translate into him finding items to chew, or digging under a fence. His recall is excellent in off-lead dog parks, but he needs to be restrained in spaces that aren't fenced or enclosed as he is easily distracted by other people and dogs and may not respond when called back.
He would flourish in an active home where he is not left alone for long stretches of time, with an experienced dog person/people who will give him the support he requires. He is excellent with more forgiving dogs (as he has no manners), cats, and kids, but is a very excitable dog so may not be suitable for a home with younger children who he may be able to knock over.
If you have experience with working dog breeds and time to invest in Chippy's ongoing training, you will be rewarded with a loving canine companion beyond compare! Are you the alpha Chippy's dying to love? If you are, get in contact right now!
Chippy has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000010941258, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption right now! His adoption fee also includes his second vaccination at one of our rescue vets.
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
