About Nyx
Meet Nyx,
Seeking foster or forever home!
Nyx is a very sweet and affectionate girl who has lots of energy to burn so will be well suited to an active couple.
While she has been with us, Nyx has shown to be very unpredictable with other dogs, demonstrating fearful and defensive reactions. She is happy to play with them but tends to become reactive without warning. We believe she will be happier and more relaxed in a home as an only dog but with loads of company and attention offered from her special people. She can cope well on her own for a few hours but will get very lonely if both of her people work fulltime and she is alone all day. If being left alone, Nyx copes well outside, or in a confined place like a laundry.
Nyx currently sleeps inside and loves to snuggle with her foster parents. At the moment Nyx is very happy sleeping in a bed next to her foster mother; she tends to get very excited if allowed on the bed, thus the reason the bed is not her main sleeping spot. She is toilet trained but may need a few reminders when she moves house. She is not interested in incontinence pads and will hold anything until her owners let her out. She is very good at telling her owners when she needs to go out.
She really enjoys her walks and likes to run too, but she can be extremely sensitive to stimuli (other dogs, wildlife, cyclists). dog parks are out of the question until she has had more exposure to other dogs and their playful nature. This may change with obedience training and a strong leader who is prepared to set firm rules and boundaries but for the time being, life with people and no other animals will be the best place for Nyx to call home.
Nyx will likely NEVER be an off-the-lead dog, her excitement and curiosity of her surroundings makes any recall completely unnoticeable.
A home with no young children would be best as Nyx can be very excited and bouncy and rough when she is playing. She is still learning that she doesn’t need to kiss everyone’s face but she has been slowly learning to stay low and this will take time. Nyx will ideally be an only pet so a home with NO CATS or other small animals is needed.
Nyx will need a large yard where she will have plenty of room to run and play. She loves her toys and will entertain herself all day long if she has to. She also loves basking in the sun on a nice day. If working from home, Nyx enjoys sitting on or at your feet while you work, checking every now and then if you wanted to have a break and play with her.
Nyx is having a great time with her foster family, but is really looking forward to finding her forever home. Please contact us if you have any questions and we will be back in touch shortly.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
