About Lex
Hello there, I'm Lex and I'm a delightful girl, even if I do say so myself.
I have been in my new foster home for a few days now and after a restless first night I have settled right in here. I've found where everything is and have been making use of the toys that my foster Mum has given to me. I like to play with the toys and see how they work. I've been told that I'm really intelligent and curious; a bit different to most other cats in the way I suss things out and investigate not only toys but also in the way I get involved in what the humans around me are doing. It's important to me to check out what's going on in my world and to get involved when I can.
I am very careful to be neat and tidy when I use the litter tray and I make an extra effort to cover everything and I do not scratch furniture - that is what scratching posts are for so as long as I have one around I will happily use this instead of the furniture.
I enjoy human company and am happy to watch what my foster Mum is up to as she goes about her day, I don't like to meow a lot so I'm a nice, quiet companion. I'm pretty happy to sleep on the bed beside my foster Mum and will snuggle up by her shoulder whenever I get the chance. I also enjoy spending time lazing around on the floor (especially when I'm trying to cool down on a hot day) or sleeping on the dining room chairs - I love those soft cushions so much! I'm also happy to be picked up and snuggled.
I can however, like all cats get a little feisty if I am over stimulated or if I am not getting enough attention. I will try and let you know with the movement of my tail 😊
Loud noises don't bother me, nor does meeting new people although I haven't met any kids or dogs yet but I'm pretty chilled out so I don't think kids would bother me if they were gentle with me. I guess I'd get used to dogs if they were part of my new family and I was introduced to them properly.
As you have probably worked out, I'm a pretty cruisy kitty and I'm happy living a simple life as long as I have something to scratch and a special human or 2 to hang out with.
Will I make the purrfect addition to your home? If you're interested in meeting me or would like to adopt me, please apply now. I don't think I'll be waiting here for long 😊
