About Lyla Abernathy
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF LYLA PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/about-vicdrg/adoption-and-foster-application-forms.html
Lovely Lyla is a sweet, bouncy young girl who is very active but equally happy to cuddle up under a blanket with her human.
Lyla enjoys the company of her foster canine siblings so would be best suited to a home with other dogs for company or a human who is around most of the time. Lyla will follow her human everywhere and would love to be included in everything they do. She’ll even help with the chores, if chasing and catching flies counts.
Another way Lyla likes to expend her energy is with a daily walk or two. Lyla's new human must be keen to hit the pavement and take Lyla out roaming. She walks well on a lead but can react to some dogs so might benefit from training.
Lyla appears to be house trained and would love a home with a doggy door so she can wander around as she pleases.
Cats are a bit too interesting to Lyla and she does like to chase them so it’s best that she is brought into a family without any felines.
Lyla is not a fussy girl, all she is asking for is a loving home with a kind companion. Can you help?

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
