About Rocket
Please meet one-year old ROCKET, a handsome and affectionate male Labrador/blue cattle dog cross.
At 34 kgs, Rocket is a big, strong boy. He might look all grown up, but looks can be deceiving. He's still very much a puppy, and has all the energy and exuberance of a puppy, wrapped up in an adult-sized body.
As anyone who's had a Lab knows, Labs don't start “settling” down until sometime between two and four years of age. Rocket is a free-spirited chap and received little or no training in his first year of life. He and his canine brother were left to their own devices in the backyard and were free to roam if they chose. Unsurprisingly, they ended up in the pound several times.
With love, care and training, Rocket has the potential to be a delightful family dog or loyal companion, but initially he will need a firm hand and lots of guidance.
The ideal home for Rocket is one where his humans are home most of the time and there is a canine pal to play with. Due to his size and strength, he would not be suited to a home with little children. Secure fencing is essential.
Rocket is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed. He is untested with cats.
If you are interested in meeting this lovely boy, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/
Rocket is NOT AVAILABLE for interstate adoption. We are based in Warwick, Queensland so applicants must be prepared to drive to Warwick to meet Rocket.
