About Dotson
I'm Dotson and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR DOTSON
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW FORM
https://forms.gle/t3PniDNESDDYen696
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great as I LOVE other dogs and I can be a bit anxious when I'm left alone. A doggie playmate is a MUST as they would make me feel so much better.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction, however I am a very playful and bouncy boy so a cat may not like living with me.
• I like both male and female dogs
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard for long periods of time
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Very playful
• I can sit on command
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• Social butterfly
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog. I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
Medical issues:
• I arrived at the shelter with an infected hot spot which is now healing nicely, however it's been determined by vets that I may be prone to them so my owner needs to do some research regarding hot spots and understand what to look out for and provide vet treatment to stop them becoming infected
ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET DOTSON BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
