I'm Matty and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
AVAILABLE FROM SATURDAY 12TH
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Rides in the car, I'm used to the car and travel well
• A doggie playmate would be great but I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your attention for myself
• Although, I'm great with other dogs I'm not overly playful with them so if you're looking for a playmate for your dog I may not be the one for you
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I have previously lived with a cat but was trained not to come inside where the cat was. I did bark at the cats at the shelter so I'm not sure if I can share an inside home with them.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being a big bouncy boy
My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Very playful
• I can sit and stay on command
• Wiggle butt
• I'm used to being washed by a mobile dog washer
• Highly food motivated
• Housetrained
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog. I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
AN ADOPTED CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE SHELTER TO MEET MATTY IN PERSON.
ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET MATTY BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED

For information regarding any of our animals please call Shoalhaven Animal Shelter on 02 44293410 and talk with any of the staff regarding adoption process and fees. Alternatively please visit us at 19 Nowra Hill Road Nowra Hill ( Just off BTU Rd) we are open 9am-4pm everyday.
All dogs and cats are Microchipped and de-sexed before leaving our shelter.
*** NOTE: Animals can be placed on hold for travel time ONLY. If you are interested in a particular animal please contact us on 02 4429 3410 prior to leaving to ensure the animal is still available for adoption and we will pop them on hold until your arrive.
