Elysse

Elysse was surrendered to the pound by her elderly owner and the staff and volunteers worked for many hours on her as elysse was in a disgusting state. She was riddled with fleas, her coat was brown instead of white and she was obviously terrified. She also had a broken jaw which has been repaired by dr andrew machevsky from sash (small animal specialist hospital). Elysse has had a long road to recovery and in late october dr machevsky will remove the wire \ from her jaw and also take out a nasty tooth. At that time, elysse will be ready for rehoming and the perfect home for elysse will be without small children as she can be startled by them. Elysse's carer has very young grandchildren and does keep her separated from them. Elysse does prefer to be the only dog having her humans undivided attention and her new family will need to be aware of her sometimes timid nature. Elysse's favourite place to be is in your lap, on the couch or chasing toys as you throw them for her. Her carer is sure that she will enjoy living in a home with a quiet family who are looking for a dog to dote on. She is quite active and would enjoy playtime in the garden with her family. Elysse is a beautiful ballerina dancing on her hind legs for you and waving her front feet. She has great balance and will do this forever! elysse does not need to go outside walking as she is a bit nervous at this stage but, with time and patience, she will learn to enjoy the experience. Elysse has a beautiful snow white coat and is a dream to groom, just laying on the bench enjoying the brushing and attention she receives. Elysse's coat will require regular brushing, clipping and bathing to keep it looking lovely. Elysse is a house dog and must have access to the house at all times. Paws would like to thank two of our wonderful supporters and foster carers for their kind donation towards the cost of elysse's surgery. Chris and ian, thank you again for your continued support of our paws dogs!
