About Edie
Only 2 years old, Miss Edie is an adorable whirlwind of playful energy who will keep her new humans on their toes.
Although Edie can be a little shy at first, she soon warms up to new humans and gracefully accepts the pats and affection she so rightly deserves. Like most greyhounds, she also enjoys having a safe and quiet space to nap undisturbed.
Edie shares her foster home with two pointers and until recently another foster hound. She would like to have another dog to play with in her new home, however her new canine sibling needs to be laid-back and tolerant of her playful ways, as she is still learning her manners in social situations. Edie could go into a home as a solo dog provided her humans are around a lot and have the time and energy to give her lots of attention. She loves pats and attention and will do the cutest little teeth chatters for you when excited.
Edie’s ideal home will have a backyard for her to play in and quieter streets for walks, as traffic can make her nervous. Edie is house-trained but used to having indoor/outdoor access most of the time, so may need a little patience getting used to a new toileting routine. Greyhounds are good at picking this up quickly and we have some guiding resources available.
Being a young pup, Edie would also benefit from humans interested in continuing with some basic training using positive reinforcement/rewards-based methods. Again, we have lots of good resources to get you started. Edie would do best in homes with adults or older children only, as she is super-fast with her zoomies and could too easily knock smaller kids over in play.
