About Bluey~3yr Old Amstaff(On Trial 27/09/20)
Bluey is a happy and playful 3 year old male Amstaff with a huge smile and a lot of love to give. Bluey’s sister Angel recently found her forever home and now it’s his turn!
Bluey is a happy, easygoing dog at home. Due to his breed he does need regular exercise but is otherwise happy to lay around or play with you all day. He loves his toys and water, especially the hose. Bluey is well behaved when left home alone.
Bluey has had limited exposure to the outside world and can get excited and overwhelmed by new places and experiences, so needs a family with the time and patience to help him understand the best way to behave. Bluey is a large dog and when he gets excited he can be strong on the lead, and requires training on the lead and with basic obedience such as not jumping up to greet you .
Bluey has shown reactivity towards other dogs, and is looking for a home where he is the only dog. Bluey is untested with cats and other small animals. Due to his size and tendency to jump on people, he is not suited to a home with children. Bluey currently lives and sleeps outside. He would love to be allowed in to be part of the family, and would need toilet training.
If you have the time to invest in Bluey, you’ll be rewarded with a loyal goofball who will be your best mate. Bluey is located in Newcastle Area NSW. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. For more information or to meet Bluey, please submit an online application or contact Jenn at drn.jenn@gmail.com.
Bluey's adoption fee is $300 which covers desexing, vaccination, microchipping, flea and worming treatments. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
