About Hank ~ Rotti x lab (On Trial 20/09/2020)
Meet the handsome Hank. Hank is a male 12 week old Rotweiller x Lab mix which means he’s going to be a big loveable boy. Hank loves to give cuddles to everybody he meets, although he is a bit timid when first meeting people, more specifically males. He would prefer if everybody could sit down to meet him and after that he becomes much more comfortable. As Hank is still a puppy and learning, he will need somebody to continue working with him and his training so he can master all his tricks.
Hank has warmed right up to his foster parents and is happiest sitting right next to you in his bed while chewing a toy all night. Hank currently lives with another dog in his foster home so preferably would like to go to home with another dog or somebody who is home more often than not.
Because of Hanks breed he is very quick to learn new things. He is already learning to sit, stay, drop and shake and is learning how to walk on the lead. He doesn’t pull and follows his foster brother when walking. Hank hasn’t been known to try to escape in the yard but as he will grow to be a medium- large dog, 6 feet secure fencing will be required. Apartment and courtyards will not be suitable for Hank. Hank hasn’t been around children yet, but as he is a bit timid would prefer no younger children. Hank will need to be welcomed inside when people are home and currently sleeps inside.
As Hank gets older he will need to be walked on a regular basis. All applicants need to keep in mind that Hank is going to grow into a large dog. He requires 5-6ft colourbond secure fencing with no holes or gaps. Unfortunately due to his size and energy levels, Hank will not be rehomed to a family with young children under the age of 6. Its important that Hank is also not rehomed to a rural property with mesh fencing.
Hank is located in Newcastle Area NSW. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. For more information or to meet Hank, please submit an online application and contact Morgan at morganz.drn@gmail.com
As Hank is not yet desexed, he only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens areas as he will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when approximately 5 months old. Exceptional Sydney based adoptions will only be considered upon approval. Hank is NOT available for long distance or interstate adoption.
Hank's adoption fee is $550 which covers desexing, vaccination, microchipping, flea and worming treatments. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
