About Opal
Opal is a sweet-natured young girl. She made her way to Newman after coming into SAFE's care from a community outside of town. Unclaimed and unloved, her life changed as soon as she came to us as she is only going to the very best home. She hasn't had it easy, having to fend for herself from a young age but she is keen to start a new chapter with a family who is willing to put in the time and effort for her.
Opal fell instantly ill on arrival and was treated for parvovirus. Now 110% happy and healthy, she is ready for a family to love her. Opal is needing a home that can train and play with her as her manners need a little work and she has a fair amount of energy - what puppy doesn't?
Opal is a very gentle soul and absolutely loves food which will assist with her learning... she isn't as keen on toys as she hasn't had much of a chance to be a puppy but she will hide or chew on the occasional throw-toy if it looks enticing enough (peanut butter helps). Opal is eager to please and has learnt to sit for her food in just a few days. She has spent time in a home with a young child who she adores and gets excited to be around and another dog who she is social with. She knows when it's time for a rest and quiet time so will find a small nook or cranny to chill out when she has had enough of playtime. She can be quite nervous on meeting and needs a little time to open up with humans with an understanding owner.. The most loyal girl once you have won her over, all that hard work pays off - we promise you will adore Opal just as much as we all do!
If you feel you can give this gorgeous girl a family of her own, please complete the below with as much information as possible to be considered.
