Meet our handsome boy River
River didn’t have the best start to life and when he first came into rescue at 5 weeks he was very frightened and spent most of his time hiding under the lounge and would hiss and spit when approached. All he really needed was to learn love and trust
Here he is 6 weeks later a much more confident boy. He can still get spooked at times and his new family will need to be patient and give him time to settle in but the hisses have been replaced with very loud purrrs and his time now spent out and about
He is such a cutie. He loves to play with absolutely anything and everything whether it be a ball, in the tunnel, with a toy mouse or even just a piece of rolled up paper This is how he loves to spend most of his day oh and of course a little nap in between
Currently in care with 4 foster host cats of various ages (whom he loves!)and a 5 year old lab, this boy has adjusted and is still adjusting so well to his new environment
River is more inclined to sit next to you on the lounge rather than on you and isn’t particularly fond of being held for long lengths of time, however with time we think this will hopefully change seeing how far he has come
We are looking for the perfect home for River and feel that a home without young children would suit him better.

To keep him safe (and the wildlife), we are looking for an indoor only home, or better still, a home where he also had a secure outdoor enclosed area (so he can enjoy the outdoors safely). That way you'll never have to worry about where he is or the 'presents' he may bring home to show you.
River’s vet work will be completed early next week so meets will be organised for the following weekend
