About Zia ~ 2yr Old Bull Arab X
Looking for some extra love in your life, Meet Zia who comes with plenty to spare!
Zia is a VERY special 2yo Bull Arab x.
She has huge floppy ears and a super cheeky smile, she will melt your heart with her gorgeous nature.
Zia is super affectionate and loves nothing more than being around her humans and soaking up their attention and love.
She loves spending time with you in the yard playing fetch and tug O war with her rope toys and a bit of rough and tumble.
On top of being gorgeous and full of puppy love, Zia has a very special quality as she is deaf. Her deafness doesn't dampen her joy for life and it makes her even more adorable in her innocence.
Zia has had extensive foundational training with sign language and has the tools she needs to be the best dog ever. These tools help her to understand the world and make her feel comfortable.
She is a very insecure dog and needs to have an understanding and consistent teacher to be able to build a bond with her and make her feel safe. We do that through training, time, and practice to give what Zia really needs.
She NEEDS a connection and trust with her handler to give her the confidence, attention, and affection she craves.
Zia has been in care living with other dogs and loves being around them but it does take her some time to warm up to them. Having said that we believe Zia would be best as an only dog so she can get the attention she wants and deserves.

Zia is in care near Newcastle NSW. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
Zia’s adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and microchipping.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provide individual listings specific to each foster dog. Each listing outlines the specific requirements, and home that we are looking for. Should you submit an application OR inquiry and NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged if you do not receive a reply, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
Medical notes
Zia is deaf so will need to use sign language to communicate with her family. Deaf dogs can lead wonderful and fulfilling lives like hearing dogs. Zia's ears will need to be monitored and cleaned regularly. Being floppy, they can trap dirt and grime and will need to be attended to regularly to ensure shes most comfortable.
