About Hamlin
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 and travel being restricted, I can only be adopted in NSW or ACT.
Hello, my name is Hamlin and I am now looking for a new home.
My mother and siblings went to RSPCA when we were only a few weeks old and stayed there until we could go to foster carers.
I am now with an amazing foster carer and learning lots and experiencing different things but I now need to find my new home.
I have a big bark and use it when I meet new people, so can be a bit scary but once I know who you are I am ok.
I am sharing my home with another lovely young male German Shepherd but I am now being a bit rough with him so I need a stronger playmate.
I am house trained and love being inside but also loving being on acreage at the moment. I haven't met any cats, small dogs or pocket pets, but because I like chasing the rabbits on the property here I have been told I should look for a home without any of these.
I haven't lived with any small humans so I will be ok with teenagers but no younger.
Due to my age I need a home that have recent experience with German Shepherds so they can teach me more and understand my amazing breed.
So, if you have had a German Shepherd in the last few years and think you have the energy to be my new parents, please select the "Enquire about this Pet" and give us some information about your home.
I will be checking all the applications to make sure I find the best home :)
Medical notes
Hamlin is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
