Hi, my name is Gemma and I'm looking for a new home to call my own.
I'm a bright and happy dog and I would love to find a family that can give me the love I deserve.
I'm super gentle and love to always have people around me. I love to be anywhere where you are and having a person by my side is all I ask for. I am looking for a home where someone is home more often than not.
I'm a sweet young lady that loves cuddles and kisses. My favourite thing to do is lay by your side and watch tv together, although my super loud snoring may disrupt the movie!
I also love my walks. My foster mum takes me on walkies every day and I always get so excited and I am great on the lead as well. I love squeaky toys and playing fetch and I'm looking for a home that will keep me active.
I will need to have an indoor lifestyle due to my soft pallet being a little longer than normal. While this condition doesn't affect me that much it does make it a litter harder to breathe than your average dog. I will need to have access to air-conditioning in the summer and my exercise will need to be at cooler times of the day. I am fully toilet trained so you don't need to worry about that!
Due to my life before coming to Second Chance I will need a home without any other animals. My experiences with them have not been positive in the past and I'm still recovering from this. It would not be appropriate to take me to the dog park or beach, this is not something I would enjoy. I am also not very confident around little people so will need a home with Adults Only.
I have a long lush coat; therefore, I need someone that will be able to maintain my beautiful hair and have me groomed on a regular basis.
If I sound like the dog for you, can I come and live with you?
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
