About Murphy
Often in rescue we are asked to consider a dog that has no options. Murphy is one such dog. This gentle compliant girl has had a sad start to life. She was brought into the RSPCA as a stray and then found herself at a Sydney Pound. Underweight at 21 kilos and showing lameness in her front leg she had limited if any prospects.
We met this pretty girl and made an immediate connection with her gentleness. Murphy was taken into care and taken to our vets for assessment. It was revealed her front leg had been shattered and her leg broken. It had re-knitted without medical attention
We found a loving home for Murphy but unfortunately due to circumstances Murphy is now looking for a new home.
Murphy still loves life and people and is so affectionate we want her to find a loving home who will give her quality of life that she had not received in her early years.
Murphy is a small boned female stock coated German Shepherd in care at Dunlop, ACT. She is easy to manage on lead and walks easily on lead and is a good car traveller.
Murphy cannot go to a home with small dogs, cats or pocket pets.
Yes, she will need pain relief to manage her injury but who could not want to give this sweet girl a better quality life. She is currently having one Carprofen 100mg tablet per day.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
