Yoda

All ears, Yoda is as sweet as they come! A loving natured pup who is overall so gentle and loving. Yoda came into SAFE's care after being rescued from a community 5 hours from town. He made his way in and straight into a foster family. On arrival he was a shy boy who was unsure of receiving 'love'. He would roll over and be frightened, this was showing us he didn't have the best start to life and wasn't used to people being kind to him.
Within less than 48 hours he had warmed up to all humans living in the house and was their best friend loving pats and attention. Yoda is a very smart boy who has already picked up on how to sit, drop, and stay (mostly) only after a couple of days. He would suit a family willing to train as he is eager to learn and please. Yoda is dog social and would love a family with another furry friend.
He is very loving and will come up to you often and give you a little tap with his paw to ask for cuddles and pats. Yoda is affectionate and loving giving you a little kiss every now and then. He is only a smallish Blue Heeler X, however, does tend to jump up and grip on to your waist so that he can get closer to your face to say hello. He is learning not to jump and is getting there however this may need to be worked on as it can cause a bit of scratching sometimes. It's always a loving gesture of a jump (never to jump to annoy or dominate, just to show he adores you).

He can be timid with loud noises or unknown things/objects causing him to crouch down low with his tail in his legs but has never shown any aggression or reactivity while scared. Yoda is needing a patient home that is willing to give him time to adjust to his new surroundings and help open him up. He would be best suited to a family with older children at this stage. Someone who can train, exercise and love.

Yoda has become a very confident and trusting dog who will approach all people with a wagging tail and ears back wanting a pat. The most loyal and loving fella, all who meet Yoda fall instantly in love!
