About Jake

Hi there. I'm Jake. I'm a 14-week-old kelpie mixed breed dog. My siblings looked like many differing breeds, so best guess is Sharpei, Cattle dog and Wolfhound mix.
I'm looking for an active family with another dog for company as I really love socialising with other like-minded dogs. I have the typical kelpie nature. I'm very social, busy, smart and enjoy learning. I’m good with kids, but best suited to older kids who can keep me busy as I can get a bit silly as most puppies can.
Foster mum says I’m always up for a cuddle and a good tummy rub. I enjoy chasing the ball and a good game of tug-o-war.
I’m food motivated and love to learn. I know that my dinner is only served in my crate and will run and sit inside it waiting for my food to come. I sleep in a crate at night and will let you know when I need to go outside to do my business, well most of the time. As a puppy, I can have accidents so foster mum hopes my new family will continue with my crate training.
I love the other dogs here in foster care and know my place in the pack. I play well with all the dogs here in care. Both other puppies and social adults under supervision. I’m also in care with some grumpy cats and know to leave the cats alone. My puppy yard has chickens in an enclosed large pen. When the chooks come out for some free-range time, I am placed in the next yard and although I can see them, them don’t interest me.
I’m searching for an active home that can provide ongoing training and stimulation in order for me to grow up to be the best boy I can be.
If that’s you, foster mum would love to hear from you.
Love & licks,
Jake xx
Medical notes
All puppies are adopted with a desexing voucher for a vet of our choosing. This is to be completed between 24 & 26-weeks of age. This time frame is not optional and the pups remain registered to the rescue until proof of desexing is provided. You will need to be prepared to sign a contract agreeing to this. Failure to adhere to this condition of adoption will result in further action.
