Hi! I’m Kenny. I’m an 18-month-old border collie/Kelpie mix. ❤

Foster mum says I’m an intelligent, happy and active boy that really needs a best friend to call my own. I’m searching for an active home with a calm dog friend for company. Although foster mum says I’m a lovely soul who likes everyone, she feels I’m best suited to a home with children over 12-years of age. I’m not suited to a home with cats.

I was a shy boy when I first came into care and unsure of other dogs. I have come out of my shell and now enjoy playing with the calmer & in particular the older dogs here in care, both male & female. I do prefer a proper introduction to my new buddies, but once acquainted, I love a good game of chasey and bitey face.

I enjoy pottering around the yard with foster dad and going for long bush walks with foster mum and my dog buddies in care. I mostly stick with mum on our bush walks, but if I go for a sniff I always come back and check in with foster mum. I usually finish with a dip in the dam. I love water and like to dip my belly in the clam pool.

I’ve been learning my basic manners in care. I love my food and leap into the air with excitement when I know it’s coming, but I know not to touch the bowl until I’m told. I’m a good boy and walk nicely on lead and come to foster mum when called. I’m not a fence jumper and am happy to stay at home with my family. When it’s time for bed I get to choose whether to sleep in the laundry at night or outside in my kennel.

I’m searching for an active home that is experienced with working breeds. A home committed to ongoing training and socialization with other like-minded dogs. If that’s you, foster mum would love to hear from you.
