Pocket rocket Scout - this little girl has had some big scary changes in her short life lately.
Her first 18 months of life were very sheltered and she had limited socialisation opportunities, so the world can be a bit intimidating for her. After spending a few months with her wonderful foster family, she is now starting to learn how to be a house dog and is ready to find a forever home that will continue to build her confidence.
Scout likes her space. She is not scared of people but will keep her distance, however she likes to know where you are and be able to see you. If you are looking for a super-affectionate, cuddly Husky, this is not the dog for you.
A dedicated chewer, so the house will need to be Scout-proofed to begin with. She loves chewing on her toys. She walks beautifully on lead and enjoys her daily strolls, and will happily lay down for a good brush.
Scout gets along with all dogs. Big, small, old or young, but she will try to be the boss if she can, so need supervision around smaller breeds. Scout would love to live with another dog or 2 that she could continue to learn from. Her people will need to be empathetic, patient and accepting to guide her forward and encourage her to become a resilient, confident Husky girl.
Scout needs a secure yard with a calm home environment, so any children must be at least in their teens. She has some basic obedience and loves her crate, her routine and her food!
Scout feels most comfortable around men, but will accept anyone that respects her quirks. If you can offer Scout a home to continue to blossom in, please apply today to start the journey.
