About Maximus DL2500
Maximus requires hip surgery and recovery in a pet-free home. Please DO NOT apply if you cannot commit to his recovery or if you have other dogs.
Maximus is a handsome puppy who is fast growing big and strong. A curious boy with an inquisitive nature, he enjoys playing with toys, splashing in the paddle pool, and shredding cardboard. He isn't yet able to go for walks but we are sure he will love exploring when able to.
Still a puppy, Maximus has short bursts of energy, followed by a nap. He currently eats, plays, and sleeps on repeat. He doesn't enjoy being left alone, and prefers to be wherever you are. He'll best suit someone who is home often, and a home where he can be indoors. He sleeps very well in his own bed next to you.
The perfect family for Maximus will be dedicated to his training and age/ability appropriate activity. Get ready for lots of toys, games, puzzles and activities to keep that puppy brain busy.
We're not certain of his breed history, as his Mum arrived already pregnant. But as Mum is a big girl herself (perhaps Bull Arab or Mastiff Mix), be prepared for Maximus to grow into a large adult dog.
Maximus is available to foster with the view to finalising adoption after his surgery. If you'd love to welcome this sweet man into your family, email DFLrescue@gmail.com to apply.
Medical notes
Maximus has hip dysplasia and will require surgery at 17 weeks. Adoption will be finalised post successful surgery. The cost of his surgery will be covered by DFL.
