About Riley
* Riley will be available for adoption/video meet and greets from 3rd of September.
Riley had a tough introduction to life, born to a stray mum in a factory areaq, hence he took a little while to warm up to humans. But after some time in our shelter and 6wks in foster care he's turned into a, affectionate little smooch! He gives his foster carer kisses and headbutts and purrs his little head off. And likes to bat around his toy mouse as most kittens do :)
He gets a little bit scared when there’s a loud noise but settles down quickly once he realises there’s no danger. He will benefit from some time set up in one room of his new home, so he can adjust to the new hoomans and new environment without being overwhelmed.
Riley is would love to live with an existing friendly cat or dog and will need this company to help his confidence while settling in. He isn't experienced with young children but may be okay with older, cat-savvy, teenagers. He needs to be strictly an indoor cat - see further about this in 'Adoption Details' below <3

PLEASE NOTE: Due to our cats being previously stray and rescued from struggling to survive on the street, we have a strict NO CATS OUTDOORS policy. This is because although our cats have been rehabilitated from their past, their brain still retains fear towards 'outside', as living wild was only ever scary to them, they are not the same as domestic cats who've grown up in human homes since kittenhood. This is important to keep in mind if you were hoping to adopt from us and have your adopted cat living inside and outside, or even just with supervised time outside, as unfortunately it won't be possible. Please consider this before making an enquiry. Thankyou <3

Sunny Days is a registered charity with Tax Deductible Gift Recipient status, and runs a non profit rehabilitation centre for stray and feral cats in Geelong, Vic, focusing on the rescue, rehab and rehoming of ‘true stray’ cats. These are cats who’ve grown up with very little or no experience with humans; cats and kittens who would otherwise be ignored, hit by cars, baited, euthanised or die alone of illness or hunger. In our rehab centre, we see each cat as an individual, requiring it's own individualised rehoming program.
