About Chloe
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
NAME: Chloe
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to us from the local pound.
BREED: Chihuahua x
General breed traits: they love to be with their people and are definitely companion dogs that do not like to be left alone, They are sensitive, but are dogs, and can be problematic if overindulged. They love their family but can be aloof or wary of strangers and other dogs so early socialisation is very important. Chihuahuas cannot tolerate cold or hot weather so a warm coat in the winter and care re overheating in the summer is needed - they are not outside dogs. They are bright and wilful but will learn if you make it fun and although small, have big personalities that can get them into trouble. Quick learners, they can compete in agility and obedience trials so don't dismiss a Chihuahua just because it is cute!
ASSETS: Affectionate, eager to please, intelligent, friendly, sweet and playful!
FAVOURITE THINGS: Attention! Chloe loves to have the attention of her human and will follow you wherever you go. She's great with kids and smothers them with love. She also loves to do zoomies with her sisters and play tug of war with rope toys.
OTHER ANIMALS: Loves other dogs! She could also live with a confident, dog-savvy cat.
GENERAL INFO: Chloe is an absolute darling. She will need training in most areas, so her new owner will need to be committed to this going forward. She isn't lead trained as yet but is house trained when she has a doggy door to use. She will also need to learn commands. She's a clever cookie and picks things up well, so with commitment and gentle training she will fulfill her potential and be a wonderful companion.
HOME ESSENTIALS:
* Stability: A home where someone is home for most of the day on a permanent basis (not just through Covid 19) or can take her when they go out.
* Time: Although Chloe is 8 months old, she will need to start from scratch with training as she hasn't had the best start. Chloe needs an owner who will put in the time to train and socialize her (structured classes where she can learn, socialise and have safe exposure are a must). 2 walks a day are essential to keep her happy.
* Space: Chloe needs a yard to run around in to burn off her playful energy, with some grass and interesting things for her to sniff.
* Love: Chloe needs to be allowed to be inside or out as she chooses, and to be included as part of the family. Due to her shaky start we will only rehome her with children who are 8+.
If Chloe sounds like the girl for you, please send an enquiry and we'll be in touch soon.
