About Tigger
Tig Tig is one special, little lady. She has been through a lot in her 11 years, but now is her time to shine.
Tig has a cute, pointed nose, dishevelled hair-do, spritely step, and a big heart with tons of love to give.
Tigger has a great appetite for food and life, and has provided her foster family with lots of laughter. Tig has little quirks that have emerged, such as becoming incredibly excited when she knows she is about to go for a walk. Tig dances on her back legs and squeals with delight. Meal times are the cause of similar celebration, which makes everyone else excited.
Like most dogs, Tig thrives with a good routine. She has settled in well with her foster family, which consists of two adult working-dog breeds and two indoor bunnies. Whilst not thrilled with being outside, Tig is very well-behaved without barking or scratching at the door; but her foster parents attribute this to not being left alone. When inside, Tig likes to curl up in her donut bed or in the bigger dogs' bed with them. While watching TV, ensure you have the remote within reach because her little snores can get a bit loud!
Since being in foster care, Tigger has been desexed, had her spleen removed, dental work done and a mammory tumour removed. Tigs has also had treatment for a chronic ear infection... but now she is like a brand new pup! Tig's hearing is very good, she responds well to basic commands and is a fast learner. Tig's toilet training has improved tenfold.
Tig is considered to be a low allergenic breed, but will require regular grooming to keep her locks from becoming matted.
Tig is a bit anxious and aloof in new situations, but after a week or so, with patience and encouragement, Tig will become your new BFF. Initially, she was fearful of being picked up, and is still apprehensive about this. It is for this reason Tig requires a calm, peaceful home, preferably with Adults Only.
