About Snowy ~ 14yr Old Female (On Trial 12/09/20)
Who wants to give an old gal a new home to live out her retirement?
I know it is hard to believe but Snowy is 14 years old! She has been exceptionally well looked after by her previous owners but life took a turn for worse for poor Snowy.
You see, she lost one of her owners last year and sadly the other owner recently passed away and she had nowhere to go. She was taken to a local shelter where she wasn’t coping at all. She was hiding, scared and fretting for her her owner so Dog Rescue Newcastle were contacted to help to see if a home environment would help.
Snowy has improved no end but spent the first week at her foster home under the covers of the bed. She has been set up in a nice quiet room to help her settle. Snowy has slowly started to appear and enjoys a pat and loving her food but still is very unsure of her surroundings and a little on the timid side.
Snowy would suit a quiet home with someone understanding that she might take a little time to settle in and know she is safe and loved. We are sure once this happens she will make a great companion for someone. We don’t feel Snowy would suit a home with children. She seems very interested in the family cat at her foster home so she probably would suit a home with another older, gentle cat with slow introductions.
Snowy isn’t a small girl and quite self reliant. She will need a regular brush and being an older cat a good quality dry food for senior cats to keep her teeth in good shape.
She is litter trained.
if you are interested in giving this senior cat a place to call home please email catsandkittensdrn@gmail.com. You can also fill out an adoption form, please visit https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
She is located in Merewether Heights NSW (suburb of Newcastle NSW) and her adoption fee is $80, which includes vaccinations, microchipping, desexing and flea, tick and worm treatments.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
