About Rosie
Rosie is a super happy girl! She’s 5 on Sunday and we are looking for the most perfect birthday present – her forever home!
Every day is a party for Rosi, she’s a very bubbly friendly Great Dane. She’s just learned how to walk on a halti and getting the hang of it. She can pass by almost anything that comes her way without too much trouble. She hasn’t been socialised for most of her life so would need to go very slowly at first meeting new dogs. For this reason, she’d need to be kept on lead around dogs she doesn’t know.
Rosie is such an enthusiastic girl and could likely be too much for a lot of other more reserved dogs. She is used to being on her own during a workday but would need 3-4 days to settle in before her first day alone. She will be fine on her own and doesn’t need company of another dog. Rosie has proven to be too overzealous with cats. Not in an aggressive manner but certainly something that would take a considerable amount of training to bring her stimulation level down enough to be acceptable.
Similarly, small kids wouldn’t be easy to manage with her as her tail is in a constant joyful motion and is quite the weapon! She loves people and a house full of high school kids would be perfect.
Rosie has a bunch of toys she loves to play with and must come with her. She’d love nothing more than to be inside with her people but may take a little time to settle into house rules as she’s been mostly an outside dog. We don’t expect toilet training to be difficult at all but something that would need to be kept in mind during the early weeks. She’s not destructive and eager to please.
Please get in touch if you’re up for training this big ray of sunshine.
