About Kusci
IMPORTANT NOTICE
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR A DOG
We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.
IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS
Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -
* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms
If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.
If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.
Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.
We require you to acknowledge that you have read and agree with all statements before any potential meet and greet can proceed.
Requirements: Please read description carefully before applying
•Kusci will do well in an environment where he will have plenty of understanding and patience.
•Kusci would prefer a home as an only dog or with a calm, older K9 role model.
•Kuski needs a home committed to ongoing training and socialisation
•A household with no children or older dog savvy teens would be ideal
Kusci has narrowed nasal passages and because of this, he may have the tendency to overheat under high energy exercise– an indoor lifestyle and moderate levels of activity would be ideal for this young pooch.
Kusci is not yet fully house trained, although if he has easy access to a doggy door he will happily go outside to do his business. He enjoys sleeping inside in his warm crate or on top of a heating vent and will sleep happily throughout the night.
Kusci is an absolutely joyous pup who is a quirky little bundle of fun. He is feisty and
outgoing and endearingly different! Kusci can often be found barking at himself with his legs in the air or chasing his tail around a bush.
This curious boy is always interested in what’s happening around the household and loves to be included in everything that the family is doing. He is not a big fan of being picked up though, so would prefer a household with older dog savvy children if any.
Kusci has been estimated to grow into a strong adult dog, so will do well with formal training to make sure he is the best dog that he can be. He is an adventurous and independent boy who loves exploring the world.
Currently in foster care with dogs of different sizes, Kusci quickly understands the boundaries of living in a pack, but is a little bit of a lone ranger who is prefers to coexist with the pack rather than playing with his doggy friends. Kusci has not spent any time with young children, cats, or pocket pets - so slow and supervised introductions will be needed to ensure success.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU THINK YOU CAN MEET KUSCI'S UNIQUE NEEDS
