About Maggie ~ 6MO Female DSH (On Trial 25/08/20)
Maggie is a 6 month old, female, dilute tortoiseshell kitten. Maggie has just been surrendered to DRN and we are discovering her full personality day by day. Maggie is an affectionate, gentle, purr machine. She loves being scratched on the back and will rub up against you until you cave to her request.
She loves kind, human touch. She’s taken to falling asleep on her foster Carer’s lap.
She has a very gentle personality, we haven’t seen a single claw or tooth. She talks to you in a very gentle little purr. Maggie is in foster care with a 6 month old female kitten and 1 year old cat friendly dog.
Maggie was very happy to make friends with her foster-sister kitten straight away. She appeared to gain a lot of confidence from having a confident cat around.
If you have an existing cat, it is best if it is a male, or a young, friendly (under 1) female - as two female cats can sometimes not get along. She doesn’t seem too worried about the dog, but have not yet had a full introduction. We can update you on whether Maggie is dog friendly.
Maggie’s perfect home would be one where she can be showered with affection, but not entirely overwhelmed. She is a gentle, kind soul, who may find young children a bit unpredictable (until she grows up and feels comfortable in the world around her - she’s a teenager right now!).
Her perfect forever family might be a couple; a household with older children; a household of adults; a household with an existing cat; or, a single person who wants a companion. The world is very new to Maggie, she is sure to grow in confidence and become a wonderful companion animal.
Maggie is desexed, vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and has been council registered. She is located in Waratah NSW (suburb of Newcastle NSW). Her adoption fee is $160. Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
