About Rosie ~ 18MO Female (On Trial 03/09/20)
Meet the gorgeous Rosie! Rosie is a beautiful 18-month-old female cat who is a smoocher! She wasn’t always a smoocher, you see. Rosie’s story is a sad one with a happy ending.
Rosie spent the first 12 months of her life living on the streets. She had kittens when she was about 8 months, she was only a kitten herself. She had to live in the rain, the heat, the freezing cold and try to keep herself safe from a number of dangers. It was a sad, sad life for her. Not a life a cat should have.
Thankfully, through some luck and determination of some wonderful people, Rosie finally came into foster care. But it was a long road for Rosie. Rosie was so scared of humans and the world that it took Rosie 6 months to trust a human being. Rosie hid for 114 days and 114 nights.
On day 115, Rosie came out of hiding. It was a momentous step for a street girl! Her foster carer cried. Since then, Rosie hasn’t looked back. She now gives head butts and allows her foster carer to pat her gently. She is still hand shy but will progress nicely in the right home.
Rosie is only a very little girl. She loves to rub herself on you and anything nearby as a sign of affection. She loves being spoken to in a soft, gentle voice and will respond by prancing (raising one paw and then the other like she is marching!).
One of Rosie’s favourite things she likes to do with humans is play. She has a favourite toy mouse she chases and then pounces on. She will then carry it in her mouth and run off with it. She also loves balls and is exceptionally good at using her paws like hands and will often reach out with her paw to touch your hand.
She also likes to lie near you and look into your face. She has the most beautiful face with gorgeous big eyes. When she looks at you, it’s like she is looking inside your soul. She is really one amazing cat. Rosie is easy to look after and will happily go and take herself to sleep whilst you are busy.
Rosie is looking for a quiet home as loud noises including noises from children can scare her. Her new forever parent/s would need to be caring, understanding and extremely patient with her as she may take a few months to come out of hiding when moved to her new home. But this girl is worth it! If you allow her the time to trust you and do not put any pressure or expectations on her, she will flourish in your home. This girl has been through so much and deserves a home of her own that will understand she will need time to feel safe.
