About Dave
Cat Dave. Where do we start? Dave had an uncertain start to life. From what we understand, when he was just 5 months old, his Mumma cat had another litter of kittens, so Dave and his siblings got sent outside to live in the garage. As a result of this, Dave has some trust issues and took a very long time to come around to his foster carers.
Dave originally came into care with his much more confident brother, who was adopted a few months ago. This gave Dave some extra time to flourish and with patience and persistence, Dave has slowly warmed up to his foster fam (particularly females, still isn’t too sure about males) and now roams freely around the house, meowing when he’s hungry, climbing on the washing line and generally being the adorable pest that we all want from a cat. Dave still enjoys some quiet time in his best hiding spots like under the couch or behind the bed, but he also loves to snuggle up on the couch with his humans or run around chasing toys - he’s especially good at picking toys up in his mouth and running away with them. It’s very cute. Dave is still timid and skittish, quick movements and loud noises startle him. He generally prefers female company and would not be suited to a family with young children, but if you are patient and willing to earn his trust, Dave will show you that he can be a beautiful little snuggle bug with a belly full of bees.
If you're willing to be patient with Dave and earn his trust, feel free to inquire and we can let you know the next steps.
