About Chopper
****PILBARA ADOPTION ONLY****
Hi! I'm Chopper and I am hungry for L-O-V-E!! I'm 8 months old and still very much a puppy.
I'm active, playful and love chasing balls and playing fetch. I am quite energetic and while I love being around people, I am also loving playing and running . I've put on weight and look much healthier than when I first arrived at SAFE. I have learnt to wait for food; now that I know where my next meal will come from and that I won't go hungry, my manners have become so beautiful. I will sit on command and sit and wait for my food each day.
I am a tan/white kelpie cross and I am a contented, friendly and happy puppy and have settled in beautifully to this new, happy and safe life. I'm good around kids and enjoy meeting new people. Finding yourself homeless is a life lesson in flexibility. I am happy-go-lucky and so grateful to my new favourite humans.
I have tested positive to the Ehrlichia canis which is a disease in dogs that occurs when a brown dog tick infected with the bacteria bites a dog. In saying this I have never shown any signs of ill health. I will require a nexgard every 28 days
for the treatment and prevention of ticks. I will be rehomed with a 6 month starter pack.
If you're interested in adopting me, please submit an application online today. I won't be around for long.
Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
