About Odie
Our beautiful Odie is looking for his forever home.
Odie has an awesome grumpy look that he can give you which makes you think he is a grumpy unhappy dog - nothing could be further from the truth - Odie is a loving, calm, affectionate boy looking for a forever home to shower him in love and cuddles.
Odie is very happy being a single dog or having another dog to hang out - he had a foster sibling for a week - which he enjoyed playing with and then leaving them to themselves while he went off and had a nap!
Odie is not good with cats - as he is inquisitive of them and doesn't understand trying to sit on them or chase them is not a good thing - so no cats.
Odie has shown himself to be great with one of our foster carers sons (aged 7) but due to his weight he can knock them over when playing or when he wants to cuddle he can squash them!
Odie is currently loosing some of the weight he is carrying and one of his favorite things to do is a walk - he gets super excited before hand and is very keen to walk walk walk - please note that energy burst can then stop towards the end of the walk so a slow down is a must. Odie's new family / person will need to be mindful of his weight and help him continue to loose some and allow him to exercise.
Odie is crate trained and loves to go into his crate for a nap however if there is a humans bed on offer for him he will take that hands down!
Odie is fine being home by himself for periods but obviously loves being around his humans when they are home - he is happy to be with you while you cook, do some gardening, even when folding the washing - he will happily nap with you while you do this.
Odie is learning to play with the ball and loves toys!!
If you think we sound like a good fit for each other please send thru an application for you to meet me!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
