💜💜 Meet Benji 💜💜
Hi my name is Benji and I’m a smart, gorgeous and friendly 1yr old Mastiff cross looking for my forever home. I love people and would love a family who have a large secure yard for me to run in and perhaps older children or teenagers who are confident with big dogs and would like to play and throw a ball for me. I can get a little boisterous as I’m still a puppy and still learning my doggie manners and how big and strong I am, but I have been responding well to training.
I am learning to be home for short periods on my own but can get a little anxious so I’d like a family where someone is home most of the time and can help reassure me. I walk well on the lead but am still uncertain around other dogs – they seem like fun but I’m just not sure if they are friendly or not yet - so I’d love my forever home to keep working on that with me. As such I need to be the only dog in your home for now. I've been working on meeting new dogs with a trainer and my wonderful foster family so I would like to find a family who would be committed to helping me learn that other dogs are fun, not scary, and help me learn how to play with them.
I am a fantastic dog looking for a fab family who will give me lots of love and attention and work hard with me in training to become the gorgeous well-trained boy I have the potential to be.
I am so so smart and since being busted out of the pound a short time ago I have learnt so many commands including sit, stay, down, wait (before eating), go to bed, stick 'em up and I play dead when my foster carer says "BANG!" I also have nice manners and know that it isn't polite to hang around the dinner table. I am learning to walk nicely on a slack lead and can do this most of the time, although sometimes I find things exciting or scary and need a reminder to heel. I am also fully toilet trained. I require a home with high secure fencing and no other dogs, cats or pocket pets.
