About Skye
Skye will require:
* Children to be in their teens
* No cats, pocket pets or other animals
* Daily walks, always on lead
* A reasonably large yard with grass areas for digging and an undercover area for shelter
* Fences and gates will need to be at least 6 foot high, secure and dig-proof
She is a spritely 8 years and looking forward to the comforts of being an indoor dog. She is very friendly and loving, and her little heart's desire is cuddling up to you on the sofa.
She is very vocal and will talk to you constantly. Her favourite things are belly-rubs and chasing the ball, just don’t expect to get it back, like any typical Husky!
Skye is friendly with other dogs and loves going out and socialising. She isn’t confident enough to play with other dogs yet but does enjoy their company, so would love to find a home with a canine companion of similar size.
Skye has basic obedience but could use further obedience training, she is super food motivated so training her is fun.
Skye prefers to be inside with her humans and if left outside for too long she may howl in protest. She has previously been a partner in crime to escape artists, so will need a secure yard with fences and gates at least 6 foot high and dig-proof.
She can be quite exuberant for an older girl, so she isn’t suitable around younger kids.
Skye has the typical Husky hunting instinct and prey drive, which means she can never be let off-lead and is unsuitable to have around cats or other small animals.
Skye is not suited to apartment or rural living, or residences with a small yard. She is not available for interstate adoption.
If you have space on your couch for an Arctic snuggler and you fit all her requirements, please send in your application for Skye!
