Pretty Penny!
Penny is an absolute sweetheart. Timid and shy to begin with, it can take some time to coax Penny out and build trust, but it is time well spent!
Once Penny feels safe and comfortable, she's always happy to have a snuggle and will surprise you with her loud purr! She's quite affectionate and ready to give you lots of rubs, cuddles and love.
Penny loves hiding under a bed during the day, but around 5pm she comes alive - ready for adventurous exploring. Although she is almost 11, she still likes to play like a kitten now and then.
Penny loves to cuddle up next to you at night, but will sleep in her own bed. She's well behaved, uses her scratching post well, and is a very dainty eater.
Penny is not used to living with children or other animals so would be best suited to a quiet home as an only pet.
Penny has so much love to give to the right person who will be patient with her - she'll reward your kindness and understanding with her charming company.
Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
The adoption fee of $150 includes desexing, microchip (including transfer of ownership), vaccination, flea and worm treatment and vet check.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on ""best fit"" for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
