I'm Doug and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• I am a very anxious boy and will require a home with another dog and a family who has experience with anxiety.
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I like both male and female dogs, I am very tolerant of other dogs and love their company however I am not overly interactive with them.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must - it is important that my mind and body is always kept active.
• I would excel at flyball, agility, trick training etc - I need to be working.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock due to my bouncy exuberant nature
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy

My best features:
• LOVE people and very social
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• VERY playful
• I can sit and very food motivated
• Wiggle butt
• I LOVE toys and playing fetch but tough durable toys are a must as I am the toy annihilator extraordinaire.
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am a highly anxious boy and will benefit greatly from medication, another dog for company and a family that has experience with anxiety and someone who will keep my mind and body active
• I am very bouncy and exuberant -training and positive reinforcement should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I can be mouthy when I get excited and playful - training needed to stop this
• I am vocal and will whine when anxious - above recommendations should help this
