About Stripes
* Compatible with children
* Friendly with everyone
* Likes other dogs
* House-trained
* Rides nicely in the car
Stripes is a 12 month old, medium sized American Staffy x who is on the lookout for her forever family. She is an affectionate goofball who would love a home where she is allowed indoors and not left home alone for long periods of time.
Stripes is intelligent, has a wonderful nature and loves love; her favourite things are giving snuggles, sunbaking on the lawn and playing with her fluffy toys. She may steal an occasional shoe to chew or bark at the neighbours antics, but she is generally quite well behaved in the home. Stripes loves children, but can tend to cover them in kisses and occasionally jump up for cuddles.
Stripes does require further on-lead training, as she can get very excited when out and about, particularly if there are lots of dogs around. She responds well to voice commands and isn't overly strong on the lead, however her new owner will need to have a little patience and confidence in this department, as her excitement typically results in bouncy and vocal behaviour. Her recall needs a little work also, as although she doesn't want to leave you, she sometimes forgets to listen.
Stripes has a chase instinct and therefore is not suited to cats, livestock or birds. She will happily be an only dog as long as she gets continued opportunities for socialisation, or alternatively she would love a larger sized male dog as a companion. She can be a bit dominant to females and dogs that are smaller than her when it comes to playtime, but she is polite when meeting new dogs on walks. Stripes requires 6ft fencing, otherwise she may jump and go off adventuring.
