Lily

Hi! My name is Lily and I am 18 months old and starting my search for a new home. I am a bit quiet at first and can take some time to warm up to new people and dogs. I do startle really easy and can be a bit of a scaredy cat, I am not an outgoing confident dog, so will need a very understanding home who will give me time to settle and not rush me or put me into situations where I will be overwhelmed. When meeting new dogs, I am generally disinterested, I will sniff them and then ignore them is things like dog parks are not for me. I would prefer nice long walks in quiet places whilst I work on my confidence in new environments.

As I am a bit reserved older children who understand how to give me space and not smother or overwhelm me are best. I am currently living with a foster furbrother who gave me time to settle and now I really enjoy his company. So my ideal home would have a furbrother who understands that I need time to settle, so no over the top energetic male dogs and no female dogs. I have met small dogs and they seem okay too, so a small male dog would be okay. Otherwise I could be fine as an only dog if my new humans were home more often than not. I have not met cats, so I would need a home with no cats OR the ability to have them completely separated and a very gradual introductions over a few months.

I do need solid 5 foot fencing and the ability to be allowed inside and part of the family. I am on the small side for a Dane, but basically I am a sensitive soul, who just wants to be a small lap dog. I am very much focused on humans mores than other dogs and I just want to find some special humans to love me for who am I, faults and all.
